Iso is really weak right now, which sucks, because he's fun to play.
he's currently the 3rd lowest winrate agent in ranked (above only Harbor and Kay/O) at 46% wr, which is disgustingly low for a duelist designed for ranked.
here are some buff ideas that i feel would make him much better;

Contingency (wall)

  • needs to be wider, the same width as Harbor cascade, because right now it cannot be relied on to block off an angle.
  • for an ability that's supposed to compete with Jett dash and Raze satchels this is very underwhelming.

Undercut (vuln)

  • make this ability quick cast. the pullout time means you can't risk using it while taking fights, which completely wrecks this idea of "entering the flow state"
  • the pullout animation is cool i will miss it ;-;

Double tap (orbs)

  • small buff, but i think the orbs should refund the 1 bullet that was shot to break them. This is most needed for the sheriff, since you run out of bullets fast when trying to shoot every player and every orb.

Kill contract (ult)

  • this is the craziest change, but i feel like it's warranted. Every other ult in the game comes with no risk of use (or a very small risk) while having massive potential reward.
    Iso's ult has the highest risk of any ult (worst case scenario, you just die and get nothing) while having the lowest potential reward (1 kill)
  • the change i would make would be to make Iso's ult able to hit multiple enemies. The first enemy is taken to realm and 1v1'd like normal. The other enemies are marked, and remain in game as normal until the first fight is finished. If iso died, that's it gg. But if Iso wins the first fight, then the 2nd person in order is taken to the 1v1 realm and has to fight.
    Repeat until either;
    1. Iso dies, ending the ult
    2. everyone who was hit by the ult is killed by Iso.
  • i feel like this makes Iso's ult so much more hype. If you hit a 5 man ult, you get 5 1v1s in a row to determine the round. This isn't broken, because the risk of you getting 1 tapped in the first round and wasting your ult is still there. (also note that only the player 1v1ing Iso is in the realm at a time, Iso's teammates can't go and camp all of the bodies, since they can still move around and fight as normal until it's their turn.

thoughts? I'd love to see Aspas pulling out an Iso on Icebox someday, but right now he's way too weak

Don't like the ult changes or undercut. Even now the ult is usable under right circumstances. A better fix could be 100 v 150 hp. Agree with double tap and also the wall should be stoppable whenever.

No
You can just defuse the entire spike if the enemy is playing far like haven c long. It makes the ability have no counter given its unbreakable.
Also that seems like a controller ability rather than a duelist ability.

agreed, harbor wall mechanics would make it a little more viable

fix the vulnerable by making it NOT effect teammates

the rest of the kit is fine for ranked, but I doubt any amount of changes to his kit would make him viable for pro play unless he's reworked which won't happen

true the vuln shouldn't affect teammates, that's something that's super annoying

iso wall buff:

it breaks light utility (trip, kj tech) and deals half damage to large util (sage wall, dlock wall)
widen it

100000% more useful with minimal changes
edit: also this puts it in line with other entry util - phoenix wlal, jett dash +smoke, raze satchels
