I want to upgrade from my 1080p/75hz monitor. For my budget I can get 240hz/1080p or 165hz/1440p if I spend a bit more.

Is 1440p worth it even if I get lower refresh rate?

If you only play competitive games stick to 240 Hz but if you like playing other games like single player etc or even watching movies and stuff then go for 1440p , even the jump from 165 to 240 Hz isn't worth a lot unless you're a pro there's people out there getting radiant on 60-120 Hz so you should be fine.

1440p 165hz is better trust, 165 is enough for comp play and ull have the option to see a better quality for other games , videos etc

makes sense. i play a lot of single player games so maybe 1440p is better for me.

i get high fps in val, single player games vary depending on how they're optimised
