But no one is saying marrying against your own will is good
Ofc its bad but that's not how arrange marriage works
In arrange marriage women and men who are getting married have rights to say if they don't wanna get married
And people who are not following this rule are criminals both traditionally and legally
And caste system is bad no arguments there
They have rights to say, but tell me what % of people say it,"I dont want to marry him/her". I have seen 100s of arranged marriages, but once my chachu ran off because the person he loved was from a different caste. When he came back he recieved mockery and everyone blamed his family for not controlling him. Every male/female in the country knows that if they go against their parent's choice, the finger will be raised on the character of their parents. Hopefully this dies down, love marriage in India has started to increase due to urbanisation and education.
