What do y’all think is the best stat for showing impact/how good players are? The best answer is a mixture of stats, but if u had to choose a singular one which would it be.
I’d prolly rating (controversial) or KAST
Average_NA_fan [#2]ACS
disagree = braindead
ACS rewards players who are aggressive irrespective of impact, players like asuna would place consistently high just because they are aggro
Also underrepresents non duelist players

Oooh interesting take
Don’t u think this rewards aggressive play or raze players too much though?

no it rewards people who do more damage
Entrying can be punishing to players and a lot just play to be traded
Zekken in theory doesn’t need kills to do his job, but him being one of the higher rated players is a testament

fr as a viper main acs always does me dirty, goes 25-15 with 4 fb as viper and get 220 acs?!?!?!

I’m not sure if rating includes entries (first bloods and actual entries like site takes), but if it does it needs to boost rating more
But also u could easily be braindead and rush in and die 3 rounds after doing 80 dmg each round, which means u have less impact than someone who stayed alive 3 rounds and only did 160 dmg (assuming no trades) and boost adr

It’s also pretty easy to look at tournaments and sort by ACS and notice that mid duelist place high while impactful support players are no where near the top

I mean rating favors trades and players who stay alive way too much imo, no way Leo is achieving more impact frags than Alfa in fnc
Rating could never account for 2v1 % and space taken on entries
Spacing and trading is the goal of valorant in the end

Rating absolutely does need to account trading, but it should also account being traded
I personally fan Leo more than Alfa so I’m biased but trading kills is absolutely necessary and is also an impact frag, he also clutches a lot and rarely ever gets first blooded which boosts his rating
SquareMars [#12]Depends on role
Something like rating for sentinel players (staying alive + anchoring), KAST for initiators (impact from utility), and ACS + first bloods for duelist maybe
Imagine they made a rating based on ur role
Congo1 [#17]VLR rating -> KAST -> ACS
its the truth
Do u not think that duelist taking space and getting traded is underrepresented by rating?
