Yeah, but of course it depends on the child. If child has a questionable things done in the past then probably it makes sense to be suspicious and blind trust is a dumb thing. I just feel that parents often are just flatmates to children and not people that work together. However you should still not make these general judgements on them without knowing more
yeah sure but it depends on what you define as 'questionable things' as well. if its common petty things that almost every child does because children obviously make mistakes then no, this shouldnt be a matter to distrust them, and even if its not as petty and might be even more severe they're still your children so you should SHOW that you trust them, thats the most important thing, even if you in your head do have a bit of suspicion. i agree that blind trust is a bad thing, but this isnt blind trust that im advocating for, its just SHOWING your trust until you have a reason not to, giving benefit of doubt.
