I remember the first match being on a Wednesday so I don't think it suddenly changed to the 11th. Granted, I was looking at challengers finals shortly after the previous one ended (~4 days ago)

it's much more fair now cuz both teams will be coming from wins & have similar winning momentum vs the previous method which had teams who were losing have to fight for their life to stay in on the same day after dropping down to the lower brackets
It also gives teams a full day break if they win both their upper bracket games. and teams who lose get the next day to recover if they were just having a bad day. For the viewers, we get to know who 2 of the top 3 are on day 1.

agree with all of your points except the teams that win the upper bracket don’t need a whole day break for a couple seeding matches. maybe they could have the upper final play out and give the lower round 2 teams an extra day to work their shit out

seems to me the lowers are getting plenty of time to work their shit out. not having to play back to back after a loss can be really impactful. an extra day on top of that seems like too much grace, but that's just me
