In a situation where there is a tie for qualification for Champions or LCQ, how is it decided?

There is no information on tiebreaker yet

There isn't any ruling as of now but it is safe to assume that there is a recency metric. As in, the ones that got most points most recently. It would be fair since form is more important in terms of the current quality of a team.

It might also just be a Bo5 between the teams or if its more teams like a little group stage, that what they do in rocket league.

Giving the more fecent team the spot is kinda npt fair since the other team got their points in a harder way and its dunb to say ye your points are worth less

How did the other team get the points in a harder way???? I thought the scene evolves and improves over time, not the opposite. If anything (V1 etc) got their points in a much less competitive environment.

if you are better more recently then that matters more obv.

problem is if both rise and tsm come 7th/8th in challengers final... both will go from 0 points to 40 points at same time ... so there has to be a tie breaker

Yes but they got rewarded the same points because it has the same value

Ye but they got 2nd against the exact same enemies, why would 50 points be less worth before than now

Yes but they got second in emea and qualifed over the other eu top teams, thats not how circuit points work. There is a reason why u get more points later the year

lets say hypothetically tsm gets 200 points by making berlin. then they get a higher ranking that version 1 because they are better more recently. the chances of tsm being good in champions is higher than v1 being good in champions because tsm would have proved themselves more recently. so they get higher precedence.

Yes thats why they get more points the closer it is to champions. But those points difference is to.make it fair so teams closer get more points, there is no reason to put a teasm with the exact same points over an other

so what is your argument for the team that got points sooner to be above then?

What? If both teams have the same amounz of points they should just play a tiebreaker. Thats literally the most fair thing to do and the recentlx better team should win

Because of form factor. Form > track

Ye but just do a tie breaker and the better team should win. That even more recent and fair
