Japan is FNATIC. Favorites to Win, but beaten by Iraq. Every player is genuinely insane. Except the keeper, he's young

Iraq is the Sentinels. Won the tourney back in 2007 on a legendary run while country in War. (At least check the video on Youtube) Lives in Japan's head, denied them World Cup qualification. Fell off hard, then recently found resurgence to form.

South Korea is NRG. The New Super team. Heuing Min Son is the Demon1. Have high expectations but haven't won the cup in years

Iran is EG. In the sense, that they having amazing players but management is shit. They actually put players in Jail for protesting

Other honorable mentions: Qatar, Uzbekistan

BUT, this edition is so wild.
Teams that never won a match in previous edition won some and even qualified to next round.

Agreed 100%. I just dont follow CAF/not familiar with teams except Senegal and Morocco. Also Asia Cup is completely free on YouTube. I watch matches during class lol. Any team I should look out for?

Ivory cost is organizing the tournament and they qualified by being one of the best 3th (which is kind of LCQ path)... they were expected to do better and a lot of drama around their perf. (they will play Senegal in next round lul, GL winning )

there is a Equatorial Guinea vs Guinea (lol ?)

Nigeria vs Cameroon or Morocco vs South Africa would be interesting matchs to watch. (also Cameroon is hated by all Ivory cost something to do with Banter on twitter)

in this tournament yes, they won against dog shit Ivory cost and draw against Eq. Guinea.
