They struggling with financial issue so they join every tournament to get some money for the org, they practice less sure but even if they did they probably wouldnt have been Top 2 Seed of Americas so they grind out all these offseason tournaments and sponsors like MxS Showmatch/TEN/LATAM Superdome/Redbull Homeground. Not only is this team budget but also economically efficient

the problem isnt that they are stupid its that they are a bit scummy
they sign a super team to show riot they are going all in for franchising, and then kick their two most expensive players and sign a tier 3 igl and college player, and then in the next season go full league minimum. as a viewer we are stuck watching a ascension roster take up a slot in americas when there are so many other players that we would rather see. still hope c9 guys do well this year tho
the issue being they didnt actually sign new talent though, other than oxy and jakee. idk if this is a hot take or not i just think if ur gonna go budget, at least keep MCE and sign players who are promising and deserve it rather than sticking them on a team with fossils like xeppaa immi vanity and wippie
