What's your favorite genre of video game?

Me personally, I'm a massive sucker for the soulsborne/souls-like sub-genre (so essentially difficult 3rd person action RPGs). Gameplay loop of these are unmatched imo

Thats my #2 favorite game, one of the few games I replay entirely every now and then, DLCs included. Still gotta replay it with the next-gen update though
