He most likely dropped 70 against your favorite team in 2022
hungeryman [#2]Nothing against him as a human being. He is one of the most loving human being I have seen. But Maybe just Maybe people are hating on him because he is a jett one trick who was struggling in T2. And his agent pool is too low. Bro can’t play 3 different agents in T1 level.
yes, but the old optic was perfect to build around that
Nah people are hating on him (aside from game reasons) because he never had a really big dedicated fanbase, many yay fans were just bandwagoners who supported any team (in this case player) which performed the best, same with fpx (mainly in america) and EG. Loud has a dedicated brazilian fanbase, same with FNC and while prx originally gained fans because they were also good, but since they haven't won anything and the fans still stick around I'd say they have a dedicated fanbase too. Many people that rep eg will rep a different team next year if that team performs better than eg. Its like how Derke had so many fans start of year till tokyo, felt almost more than aspas until he dropped in performance and you ended up seeing more people rep aspas/demon1/something/jingg....you get the point, some players have many fans supporting them regardless of their results but yay isnt one of them because the only reason many people will defend him will be if he plays well or just bring up 2022 history

he said that he is confident playing duelist, sentinel, and initiator at a T1 level, and could already play chamber, sage, and jett
Potatobrawler8 [#3]yes, but the old optic was perfect to build around that
Yaa! But we can’t ignore the fact that he couldn’t improvise with time. Like good players they improvise with meta changes and yay didn’t do that. But I’m pretty sure he will bounce back.

agreed
mysterii [#6]he said that he is confident playing duelist, sentinel, and initiator at a T1 level, and could already play chamber, sage, and jett
Being confident that you can play and actually playing are two different things. Yay has that duelist mentality and duelists always wants that first pick. He says he can play sentinels and initiator but we haven’t seen him play support. Playing support requires patience.
A sentinel isn’t just a chamber and sage. Can he play cypher, kj? Or he says he can play initiators, can he play fade sova or breach. Can he provide his team with that good utility usage? Valorant is a team game.
Yistyy [#5]Nah its cuz the average vlr user has the memory of a goldfish and will let 3 months of being on a shit team blind them from when he was shitstomping every single team in the world with ease

Chamber got nerfed to the ground though. Its not the same as it was in 2022 the game has changed a lot for all you know he could be like ardiis was on NRG

He was insane before chamber was even a thing... like at masters berlin he had a fcking 1.30 rating...
StutterSt3p [#16]Recency Bias: yay barely played at all this year and his time was on a dysfunctional t2 team, and yet people wanna compare that to his performance across an entire year where he played better than damn near any player.
Yep

This is illogical. Do you remember how disciplined and patient yay was when he was holding all those long op angles for half the round every time he had the op? If that isn't patience then idk what is. (If it didn't come across very clearly, this is meant to be a joke)
