michaelisupset [#6]are there actually a lot of stray cats there? are they cute? are they well taken care of?
Yes I think Istanbul has the most stray cats out of any city and most of them are taken care of by strangers who always feed them
DrudaL [#9]Is tarik actually from turkey or its just his gimmick?
Tarık is a Turkish name and I heard him speak Turkish with multiple times so yes
Pengu12 [#12]Do tourist’s constantly harass them? When I was in Istanbul I saw a bunch of cats pretty much being chased around by tourists
Not most of them but some in touristic areas can be harassed sometimes but even that is mostly just annoying the cat and nothing serious
I have never seen a cat get harassed in a touristic area before in person though
soonwookong [#18]Is it true that there's no protection for you if a stranger sudddenly kisses u on the lips (happened to a friend who went on exchange there)

USCK [#16]Yes our Rakı is too (alcholic drink)
It tastes like shit. People drink alcohol just to get high. A very overrated drink.
KssS [#21]do turks and arabs have a sense of rivalry with each other?
Arabs betrayed the Turks many times. The biggest example of this is the Lawrence of Arabia rebellion. They rebelled against the Turkish Empire in the name of British Empire and stabbed them in the back. Recently, the Arab states supported Greece against Turkey and ignored Turkey's rightful continental shelf. Still, the vast majority in the country supports the Arabs on issues such as Palestine, but they have anti-sympathy because they are betrayed every time.
There is also a jealousy created by the Turks, who have held the caliphate for 800 years. Turkey's obvious superiority in democratization and modernization and the fact that Western states easily deceived the Arab people due to their lack of education and made propaganda against Turkey.
In addition, hate propaganda has been repeatedly made by western states such as the USA in order to weaken Turkey's strategic position and influence among ancient Muslim states and to enable colonialism.
adilKhan [#22]Is Turkey a Muslim dominated country?
Islam predominates in Turkey, but a large portion respects the sanctity of other religions. Because there is no denial in Islam as it is told that it was sent by God in other religions. A Christian or Jews has the same rights in the country as a Muslim does. This is guaranteed by the Constitution.
FightWasTaken [#29]Are Turkish people taking any measures to avoid their money losing value due to inflation? If so, what measures?
