Evil Geniuses Evil Geniuses North America Rank #20 Derrek Derrek Ha NaturE Nicholas Garrison supamen Phat Le announced on Twitter/X that they have released most of their reserve roster, but will allow Kyle "ScrewFace" Jensen to explore options.

In a video, Senior Director of Gaming & Performance Lindsey "GamerDoc" Migliore said that the five reserve players "will be available at the start of the next season at absolutely no buyout." GamerDoc also said Evil Geniuses are unsure what their reserve program will be come 2024.

ScrewFace will remain on the team for the time being. He was the ninth addition to EG's 10-man team. While part of the reserve roster, ScrewFace also spent the year as the main roster's sixth man, attending Masters Tokyo and Valorant Champions 2023 with the team.

Heading into this year, Evil Geniuses kept their 2022 roster, but opted to move Jeffrey "Reformed" Lu and Vincent "Apoth" Le to the reserve roster in favor of Ethan "Ethan" Arnold and Brendan "BcJ" Jensen, two of their 2023 signees. BcJ played just four matches with EG, after which he was replaced by rookie Max "Demon1" Mazanov in the starting roster.

The reserve roster then spent the year behind the scenes, furthering the potential of the starting EG roster. Christine "potter" Chi said at Champions that the reserve players mostly helped the main roster get their reps in, anticipate how a given composition would play out in a real match, or practice set plays.
