I understand the legal reasons for not letting the guard players be picked up, but..

it doesn’t matter. Personally, I don’t care what problems may arise in the future if they let the players get picked up by a new org. It’s something riot should’ve figured out earlier and they should do what’s best for the players and do some fix to the system later on, making this a one off situation. The players are being punished over something completely out of their control, and it’s straight up not fair.
