Insane year from both of these guys so it will be very hard to decide who gets MVP between these 2 for 2023.
Even here at champions they've still got insanely good stats but not enough support from the rest of the team to win another trophy.
Shawn23 [#2]ur mvp is obv alfajer, Alfajer no top frag ? Fnatic no win
If Leo is alive = round ain't over
Both of them are so consistent and insane at their role

he is only alive because he baited all his teammates due all respect. Alfa is FNC best player.

He is alive because that's his role lil bro
cboomer [#5]alfa is much better than Leo lmfao he is literally the ONLY constant in fnatic, even when they were losing vs loud alfa was owning

Leo is so good that his performance this champions is considered bad while being a top 3 rated player
IMO if you're actually objective about it, Alfa Leo and Derke are all just as good as each other. Alfa has the 'easiest' role in the sense that his util directly benefits him the most because he anchors and is a last rotator mostly. Leo has to use his util to help teammates more, and Derke has arguably most difficult role as main entry.
Despite this, Leo and Derke often pace alfa, but its not rare that Alfa has a good game and is top of the board. Alfa is more consistent because he has the easier role its easier to be consistent, but Leo and Derke consistently pace or outfrag him so they are all fairly equal in terms of skill. Its not going to be equal results because they play different roles and you shouldn't expect different roles to match in their consistency of performances.
leo is probably higher than alfajer in contention for a 2023 MVP, if there were such a thing. he had incredible impact in every one of fnatic's games. he was the lockin mvp and wasn't the masters tokyo MVP by just a hair -- it could have gone either way.
alfajer has been incredible ever since lockin, but he didn't show up at lockin. that's the only reason i'd give leo a slight advantage
USCK [#3]It felt like Derke and Chronicle were underperforming in this tournament so its sad that these two couldn’t get the trophy
Yeah Derke can be pretty hit or miss but you need that type of player to get you those important wins (Lock/in Icebox) but Chronicle is normally Mr. consistent so it kinda sucks he wasn't in his normal form this champions
NioMS [#9]He is alive because that's his role lil bro
nah bro, cauanzin sacrificed so many times for the team. that 4x2 on split that less kill derke and leo is an example.
look at this https://youtu.be/b0PdevfuWUc?list=PLMJ9cfx_WDdybdHDw28uCEFnxQvprJ59W&t=2722
he flash and didn't swing, he baited derke and didn't go for the trade. this happens many times.

Yeah I would give it to Leo as well but it's so damn close

Why would he swing and risk lining up with Derke
He had faith in Derke and himself to win if it came down to a 1v1 fight

spacing, less had time to stabilize his aim and also kill leo. thats why the first guy has to do wild peek and the other can trade instantly

Ur right but that’s not at all what happened in this situation. Leo wasn’t close to the angle when he flashed and couldn’t have traded Derke. Obviously Leo made a mistake here and it should have played out as you described with Leo getting close to the angle before flashing but to say that he baited Derke and didn’t go for the trade is just wrong.
Shawn23 [#2]ur mvp is obv alfajer, Alfajer no top frag ? Fnatic no win
It is fair to give Alfa the mvp but to say that if Alfa doesn’t top frag Fnatic don’t win is such a weird recency biased take. Alfajer was Fnatics 4th best player at lock in and they won the event.
