just build a mid budget desktop (30 series gpu [not the 3050], i5, 16gb, 500 ssd, and a decent psu) and buy a cheap laptop for school...

Gaming laptops are extremely hot or extremely loud. I wouldn't recommend getting one (from experience).

You don't want to pull up to a lecture hall with a thick laptop that is unbelievably loud while also needing to carry around the power brick everywhere you go.

Extremely based Tyloo fan but 500Gb is not enough imo
