drastic drx changes for 2024 vct?

I think big roster changes are needed - drx have basically been running the exact same roster (exc. GenG k1ng) for one of the longest for franchised teams - maybe more experimentation with Foxy9 instead of buzz as jett/duellist in a slightly more aggressive playstyle. We know that a slightly more radical playstyle works e.g. the 12-1 against fnatic today - in contrast to the age-old DRX calculated playstyle. Maybe signing of other players instead - Saya to create Korean dream team?

I just think that they need a Korean duellist replacement or if not a changed playstyle - Drx are looking quite stale with only ONE podium finish in the many internationals that they have qualified for.

i dunno man, like seriously who do you change, ik buzz is someone you mention, but he’s pretty damn hard to replace, i’m not sure if saya is a direct improvement or if foxy9 is better than buzz either, they definitively need changes, but
Mako - Arguably the best controller in the world
RB - No good replacement, flexes into every role if needed
Stax - IGL, EXTREMELY good, he’s probably their 2nd best player imo
Zest - dude always finds the most perfect multi frags and keeps getting them rounds
Buzz - good top tier duelist, no good replacement for him, fits perfectly into the system (albeit sometimes has off games, and sometimes really good on games)

i completely agree - but that's the thing - whatever it is, their games are less than the sum of their parts for some reason - it might be worth just experimenting with worse players to find a new sort of synergy

with other teams adapting, changing rosters, discovering new playstyles and a whole new rise of the chinese region, I feel like constantly VODded teams like DRX aren't going to place any higher in retaining the same old strats.

(and i don't even honestly think that your description of the players are that accurate - rb is still a great clutcher and mako maintains a very high acs but stax and rb in particular have had a mid performance this champions when you look at the stats)

i dunno dude, i get their stats haven’t been all that impressive, but just while watching the games, Stax had so many great moments, and RB felt like a great “i’m good for 2 maybe 3” player in some rounds where he gets hard hit

The problems with DRX has nothing to do with firepower or roster but mentality. There's a mental block
