shut up indian skrossi is ass
There was double elim in the EMEA playoffs. And also, acend had 2 chances. They lost in challengers 1 to someone and then to vitality in challengers 2. Its their fault for not being consistent enough to be able to qualify. Fnatic and Liquid were. Its as simple as that, so they were better at that time. You cant claim to know who would've qualified with double elim because its entirely theoretical and doesnt matter, at all, because literally ANYTHING is 'possible', but what matters are the factual results.
You're literally contradicting yourself. Get your facts right before you start typing.
He wasn't talking about EMEA Challengers Playoff, but the Main Event from Stage 2 Challengers 2 (EU).
EU: https://www.vlr.gg/event/375/champions-tour-europe-stage-2-challengers-2/main-event
NA: https://www.vlr.gg/event/371/champions-tour-north-america-stage-2-challengers-2/main-event
If it were the same format in NA, Sentinels would have been out like Acend. So what factual results are you talking about, cringelord? These are not excuses, but one region at that time had better format than the other one, which resulted in what you saw at Iceland.
I'm not contradicting myself at all. And he mentioned gambit, so I mentioned the playoffs because obviously he referred to the playoffs for gambit. And I mentioned the 2 chances in challengers 1 and challengers 2 for Acend LMAO. You're clearly trying to appear smart when you're not, you seem to be very illiterate. YOU'RE the one who needs to get their facts straight. I addressed both of his parts completely logically but you failed to pick that up due to a lack of basic reading comprehension.
If it were the same format in NA yes sentinels would've been out, but that is not an argument that Acend would've made it all the way, once again. It's possible, but unlikely. Sentinels got fluked by BBG in the OPEN QUALIFIERS for challengers 1, and had they qualified, its 99% likely that they would make it to the playoffs. Sentinels also got fluked by Andbox, but then they made their LB run. So sentinels technically had one chance compared to Acend's two chances if we're trying to talk theoretically.
The factual results I'm talking about, you illiterate yet arrogant monkey, is the fact that Acend had two chances in BOTH challengers but failed both times. Sure NA had a better format, but again, that is not proof or justification of Acend's poor performance when other teams had to go through the same thing.
I didn't addressed the matter about Gambit because I knew that they would not stand a chance at that time. I was just simply stating that Sentinels had more chances to get there than any other EMEA team.
These phrases tells more about you as a person than anything else:
"You're clearly trying to appear smart when you're not, you seem to be very illiterate."
"...you illiterate yet arrogant monkey,...
So, you're suffering from a superiority complex? Chill, I won't tell anyone. 🤫
Yeah.... It's definitely me with the superiority complex when you're the one who ignorantly tells me to 'get my facts right' when in fact you didn't have your facts right. Totally not you also claiming that two statements made online on a forum by a random internet persona also tells you how they are as a person in real life LMAO. Genuinely cringe.
Did you watch the EU scene before iceland? Guild has been a really solid team, the fact that fnatic and liquid qualified was surprising. I expected guild/fpx to qualify. Guild is by no means a bad team and losing a map to them doesn't mean that fnatic are shit. Where did you even get that from? that they were shit and fell off?
Look, it's quite obvious and logic.
Fnatic and Liquid aswell had a lot to prepare for Iceland.. (mean meta changes) In the meanwhile, other teams were practicing and grinding.
Than counterstrating in Iceland (1 week), other teams were practicing.
Fnatic had 2 weeks break after arrival from Iceland, other teams practiced.
New map Breeze is released to play in vct, Liquid and Fnatic had less time to practice other maps.
To sum up, EU teams had about 1 month to practice while FNC and Liquid were off.
It's quite miracle, those 2 teams are able to perform on the same level tbh.
I'm Fnatic fan and don't like watching losses, but this teams (fnc, tl) showed, they're, maybe not best, but really competing capable. But no-one is the best in EU rn.
