why is EDG hyped so much? I acknowledge that they're very good and have potential but they lost to liquid who is treated as a "fraud team" and placed 5th to 6th

because new region team is hype

They kinda destroyed BLG (who beat nrg) and has the most potential out of all CN teams.

Because only now people take interest in EDG.

Now that BLG beat NRG, we're all excited to see EDG play. Some are even expecting our chinese overlords to win this entire event.

edg has a tradition in lol of losing when most people think they will win so I'm a bit worried

Their firepower is insane and mental too
They improved a lot after tokyo
EDG always had potential to make a good run in events they just needed 1 win for the confidence ngl and now they got it
