from what i ve heard, walk alone in the back alleys of downtown LA to experience the city to its fullest
On a serious note, I would visit the Griffith Observatory,(even though it’s crowded). Park at the very bottom to avoid crowds and walk up.
The only thing that I am begging for you to do is make reservations to the Getty (100% free). It is a great museum of art and I loved it. You can also visit the Getty Villa if you love art alot, but the Getty is a lot larger.

idk LA always seemed like a place where people live; not visit and sightsee
their best thing is probably events (concerts, museums, etc) and the beach/hollywood
