state of valorant after watching this

watching this map legit just shows how professional valorant is not even at the tip of the iceberg yet. it's been 3 years and teams are still addicted to making the stupidest mistakes; i don't understand how this is still possible for the 2 best performing teams in the world atm

Everyone makes mistakes... Yeah no shit valorant is not perfected yet, 3 years into his lifespan.
But even 10 years from now, people will still make mistakes they're not robots

look at other esports like cs man (even tho cs has been out for 11 yrs) i just don't see how professional players can make silly decisions like this on a CONSISTENT basis

Valorant entire tier1 scene is made of subpar CS players, they have worse fundamentals

i think teams are so used to playing in a monotone 'right' way of playing.Having variables like this throws them off.

fair argument but stuff like this should be drilled into the head of any player in t1 no? like i understand certain mistakes (like s0m on pearl) but the outlandish boneheaded plays are not "mistakes", they're just a result of terrible discipline imo

there is not a single team or match in t1 cs (esp in a major) where teams have made the same level of game altering boneheaded plays like this match or just in valorant in general

you're actually braindead if they don't make mistakes how they keep consistently losing to random tier 2 and tier 3 teams? They're literally consider tier 1 teams at a major. Vitality had such a free final cause of it.

It's worse in CS, trust me. There's a player called NiKo whose team choked at map/match point in major grand finals TWICE. Both on 15 (scoreline needs to be 16-14 to win the map without OT). And a shit ton of other players.

So many players make mistakes, and I don't understand why people flame players for making mistakes; they're only human. I doubt you have the strength to be in the Grand Finals of Masters trying to win. You'd bottle it, just like everyone else in this forum. Everyone hates on players but don't have the balls to actually do it themselves and experience what it's like to be in their shoes.

mistakes are legit part of the game dumbass, thats not what im referring to. there is obviously a spectrum of severity when it comes to certain mistakes and valorant players are still prone to making the stupidest decisions possible compared to any other esport

i don't get why ur still making this stupid strawman argument

this isn't specific to grand finals tho? and niko didn't choke by making a bad play, he just whiffed??? how is that comparable man

this is a problem in legit every tier of the game and it's obvious that teams need to work on disciplining their players more, like surely u dont' disagree with that

WIth enough time spent playing Valorant, inherently better positioning players will make a lot less mistakes than others. Usually these players were also great at CS before. It's about understanding where enemy goes and what he does, map layout is just a variable.

Agreed. But at pro level? Yes it is. I do agree they sometimes make mistakes but they're more complex and fit more in macro situations and not just 'oh no trade' when theres multiple factors, you're basically hating to hate.

CS level in 2016 to around 2019 has been indeed lacking. But after covid/online era, teams have started playing at amazing level. Tier2 scene developed so much that they're almost equal to tier1 now, the gap that was before doesn't exist anymore.
