Why is there such a big difference?

I feel like when I watch a CSGO event its ridiculously loud, no matter what country its in. But every single Valorant crowd I've ever seen has been dead quiet other than those couple games in brazil with loud playing

ITS crazy that this Japanese crowd is pretty quiet and its still one of the best crowds we have ever had

What difference?

Also, more than a decade of nurturing CS by valve is the reason it has so many esport fans- Valorant is still relatively new so that might be the defining factor for it

japan is not too good in csgo
never had good runs like ZETA did to promote it
plus no japanese characters/lore in CS

it's not quiet actually
CS & VAL has a mic specifically for crowd and in CS they keep the mic always on no matter what
and in VAL they turn it on only when the crowd goes too loud
Brazillian crowd is different so it's better to not take that into consideration

perhaps it's the way riot mics up the audience, because for Worlds (league of legends) I believe the crowd seems pretty quiet on stream too. also CSGO crowd has a "football" vibe to it, it looks like a fucking football match crowd

Valorant is still new. As time goes on and fanbases, brand values and prestige grows the crowds will reflect that.

on the japanese stream you were able to hear the crowd way more, on the english broadcasts im pretty sure the noise is turned down in order to not be able to hear the shoutcasters too much, but this also means you dont hear crowd as much

Idk about that maybe the mics make a lot of difference the only way to judge fairly is by going to the event itself
