It’s unfortunate they had to face the only team in NA good enough to beat them, only sentinels can do anything here the rest of the teams are below par atm #SENWIN #Fighting!!!!

About how long would you brag about that one win? Back then, every team was still in the learning phase and SEN was better on that particular day. What about SEN now?

Valorant Champions Tour Stage 2: Masters Reykjavík - 2021

Sen 3-0 Fnatic

Split 14-12
Bind 16-14
Haven 13-11
Super close maps, Fnatic could have won that event too.

Champions Tour 2023: LOCK//IN São Paulo
Fnatic 2-0 Sen
Haven 13-6
Split 13-7
Sen just got destroyed in a revenge matchup, while FNC in 2021, gave tough competition. Thus, your opinion is rejected. Thanks.

And just before you start malding about this, i was a Sen fan back then and still love tenz but not the owner or team structure/management .

Eg’s players probably have a hunger fnatic’s players don’t anymore

Atleast not the same way

The Hunger To Immortalise yourself
To prove to yourself that those days of hardwork are all finally fucking WORTH IT
The Hunger To Be a World Champion at the game.

One of the Undisputed Best, only few get to call themselves that.

That’s what EG is fighting for. WAY MORE than anything Fnatic is looking for Right now.

Will Fnatic still probably win? Probably. Possibly. But The Hunger was never the same.

and EG has pressure for their cinderalla run to end perfect. everyone is under pressure somehow or the other.

The last time a NON-FNC EMEA team beat NA was at champs with xset vs FPX

Just think about it, 2 events in a row where a NON-FNC EMEA team couldn’t beat NA

We have been destroying EMEA collectively as a region for quite some time now

if you mean expectations are higher for fnatic then say so. "nothing to play for" implies eg dont care about the outcome of this game. or at least that's how i understand it. maybe a native speaker will chime in.

eg has no pressure, you make it here you’re not supposed you’re playing with nothing to lose. Every game EG is laughing and having fun because they know everything they’re doing now was not expected, fnatic has a dynasty to play for, they have to prove lock in wasn’t a fluke, have to prove they’re the super team. The difference is incredible all it takes is one wrong map and your mental can be completely ruined.

more or less this outcome dosent change anything for EG, while if fnatic loses everything was for nothing. Fnatic are built to win every international event this year.

Tbf, PRX would’ve destroyed every EMEA team except FNC

Unfortunately, the rest of EMEA couldn’t even make it far enough to face them

if fnatic are looking at it this way then for sure, hopefully they arent though cuz thats not really healthy.

it’s not the players looking at it like that, it’s all the outside pressure. everyone on fnatic even if you bury it at the back of your mind knows this is their tournament to win. pressure no matter what can be to insurmountable to overcome. An example is loud at lock-in, home crowd, up 11-3 expected to win. All it takes is one mental slip and it can cost you the entire game. FNATIC were in the exact spot eg was 11-3 down in that map, nothing to lose is a scary prospect
