"universal" human rights is a very idealistic and unrealistic idea. While western politics may seem something as a violation of human rights, a culture in the Middle East can see it as completely normal, and even as an action that is from an extension of their religion. Universal human rights, while still a potential possibility, doesn't seem like something that is actually plausible yet, not until large amounts of the world don't have very differing cultures where something wrong in one culture can absolutely be seen as something wrong in every other culture
Human rights have as much value as people give it. Not all people agree on those values, so they are not universal.
