what qualifies a team to be considered tier "x"
for example, all franchised teams are t1, and all challengers teams are t2
but then what happens after that?
widepeepofrosty [#2]t3 is like knights weekly/monthly
i dont think t4 exists
but at that point any team who declares themselves "pro" shoots straight to t3?

id like to say that t3 players are semi-professional and have jobs since knights really isnt as competetive and viewed regularly as t2 (challengers) and t1 (franchised), i consider a "pro" player as someone who has financial security and is dedicated to playing in an established league.
knights tourneys arent really connected to a league and there isnt consistent playing since its every month or so, challengers has an established schedule and protocol that teams must follow cuz its from VCT and riot.

i see what you mean
zidmz [#4]they are objectively tier 1
how ? a lot of "tier 2" teams are better than franchise teams
Gutssz [#9]Tier 1 - Franchise Teams
Tier 2 - Best VCL Teams
Tier 3 - Mid VCL Teams
Tier 4 - Bottom VCL Teams
Tier 5 - Best GC teams and 5-friends Challengers teams
Tier 6 - Bottom GC teams
tier 7 Na
reycac [#12]how ? a lot of "tier 2" teams are better than franchise teams
because tier 1 and tier 2 nowadays is strictly seperated by franchising whether you like it or not. teams like m80 only seem good because the only competition they are allowed to face are (objectively speaking) dogwater teams. until m80 makes it into franchising, its a tier 2 team

furthur more, i think tiers are based upon the competition a team faces. teams like kc seem like trash but then again, they are facing against the top teams of emea. m80 seem good, but then again, they are facing against free agent NA teams
