Would valo have become as big as it is today without covid? I remember a lot of csgo pros jumping over because a lack of tournaments so just wondering how much that would've impacted the growth of the game
chick [#2]Covid only bumped up viewership imo, infact covid hindered tournaments and Even caused major teams to not travel to tourneys and No fans for like 1 year and a half. I feel without covid they would have done way better than they did competitively atleast
Completely disagree with you. Covid caused a lot of people to stay indoors and start not only playing games online but also investing into it. Hence why when Valorant took off around that time, it went viral like crazy and blew up around that time.

But theres a high chance the early players who switched over from cs would have never shifted, but yeah other than that i agree

Non-competitively yea i can see people playing it more, but CS was a barren land in both america and apac, + overwatch was also dead in apac/america so Valorant got a shit ton of attention from both regions heavily, hence we saw so many switchers cuz their games died and they had no Opportunities for them. I don’t think they’d not switch if there wasn’t a pandemic
