From the interview with Yinsu, tehbotol was not his original IGN (he didn't say if xffero was, but probably). He used tehbotol to hide his real IGN, but it's too late to change his name for the tournament. He then pop off in that tournament, and people start recognizing him, so he can't change the name back since people already know tehbotol.

As for why he finally decided to change, idk, maybe the copyright thing is true.

That doesn't mean it's not due to copyright issues. It may be rrq or riot asking xffero to change his ign in order to avoid any potential future copyright issues.
