idrc if my duelist plays bad as long as he’s in first, if someone insta locks smokes one more time i’m uninstalling. Id rather a bad duelist than someone throwing smokes that the enemy can play off of with me forced on some shitty sentinel fighting for my life. Difference b/w baiting in bad way and good way is in good way u get trades and u don't lose the man advantage and in bad way u just lose a player ur stilling with ur team but using ur duel as he seeks all the attention and help him likely he gets more frags as well..

Oh 100% but you would think that someone like me who has 800+ hours on controller and rarely goes negative would be more successful. I'm not acting like I should be radiant or high immortal but I think Valorant needs to implement a different rr system for duelists compared to controllers. If you are 7-20 on reyna or omen, you will lose the same amount of rr if you lose. But if your controller is throwing good smokes then they can actually have a positive impact unlike an inting, no comm, run it down duelist.

what should be happening is init flash in off recon util, duelist takes first contact with teammates close behind to make trades or take space. I get what your saying though and their are circumstances where baiting is okay, for example: if a teammate is low they are gonna take first contact and bait for you to make the trade

viper and astra can be really tricky tbf. It takes a good amount of practice to understand the timing and util placement.
