LAN in the US?

With all of these teams coming from all around the world to compete, would hosting a tournament in the US really be a good idea with all of asian hate going on right now? I've heard stories of Overwatch players getting stuff thrown at them. IMO if they were to host a tournament it would be in a state that has a lot of diversity in it, but even then I hear states like New York still have bad shit going on.

There was a thread on reddit for a LAN in Vancouver which seems reasonable.

Just looking out for the homies in KR/SEA/JP regions.

Canada is more civilised than the burger land. Vancouver is fine, there's plenty of Asian in Vancouver. Even in US as long as it is not in a republican red neck state, it will be fine. Riot for sure won't hold one in a red state because of their liberal stands

Nah without this pandemic going away NA is a trash place to hold events, Probably japan or korea would be good

Vancouver would be a good place, majority of population in BC should be vaccinated by June and July so restrictions should be gone by the end of the year.
