and you're judging that on what? youre the who smoking if you think all these creators are wasting their money without doing their due diligence, if it was one creator id agree but every creator trynna joining the val scene portrays a different picture
franchising? its pretty obvious. the t2 scene will either be dead in the water soon or self-sustainable, and that's a pretty big risk to take, relative to other non-franchised scenes.even then, the chances of their orgs ever making it to the top are slim regardless. Making a team in any other esport easily has better chances of turning a profit.
the only solid counterpoint to this is that val is prolly the biggest esport NA still has a voice in, and its hogging most of comp gaming's social media interaction rn, which also kinda overexaggerates how big it actually is to these cc's in relation to other scenes.
Charlie has somehow navigated the scene perfectly tho, signing rosters which are all doing exceptionally well in their scenes (apex, val, rocket league, smash), and it would be smart for every cc getting into the esport scene to pitch their tent with him.
TL;DR: val bad scene to invest in relatively imo, Charlie org Very good, massive cc org>>>solo cc org.
