VCT kickoff 2023

Vct kickoff 2023 is a normal tournament for most but some have a point to prove .

1. M3C players
2. C9 trio core
3. 2021 champions
4. Tenz 💀

These people were last seen in LAN in 2021 , they couldn't adapt to the chamber meta . Chamber meta will be gone before kickoff starts ( I hope so ) , these players have no excuses but to perform because they have the time and a structured team now .

In terms of orgs - DRX , FNC and TL are hyped up since the beginning of 2021 but somehow these teams get choked towards the end . Anything less than top 2 is a loss for these teams ( in a 30 team tournament top 2 is a huge achievement )

• T1 and GE duelist team. These 2 didn't have any pre season tournament (GE foreign players).
• OCE Wronski debut international stage.
• Champions Winner LOUD, can they replicate similar standards with their coach and 2 key players gone.
• Will Patiphan play or his injury prevent him to make any appearance.
• Will any 6th player member make surprise impression for them to get any consideration for rotation role in the roster.

Not really , deffo could not play chamber well , chronicle did for a while but my god the amount of mistakes chronicle alone did versus FNC in stage 1 gives me PTSD .
Chronicle wasn't consistent in that agent .
And finally NATS he's pretty good but they needed a viper player , so he can't be the dedicated chamber . They couldn't really adapt man . It's not about " one single person playing chamber " , it's about " if nats plays chamber in say breeze , can redgar play viper as good as nats ? NOPE " . This is adapting . Just playing chamber and putting up numbers ain't much because that agent is broken lol .

Another example when yay played chamber , when a jett is needed victor played jett and did a decent job . If only chronicle was able to play jett decently vs TL , they would have won and wouldn't have needed purpo in LCQ .

They were number four in EMEA the entire year.
They also had no org backing whatsoever, which makes such a difference at the T1 level. The only funds they had were theirs, they were in charge of starting boot camps and all the intricacies of running a professional team. Trying to keep up at the T1 level while also running your team at the same time was likely incredibly difficult and visibly hurt the team.

Even chet after Iceland was commenting on how M3C still was as a team and if I remember correctly also commented on how the war affected the team.

If Gambit hadn't fallen apart, it is practically undeniable that this team would've done far more in 2022

it took some time to figure out roles yea but idk what m3c games you were watching but Chronicle was amazing on Chamber

He's a beast in 2021 and fell off hardly in 2022 . He was easily the best Player of 2021 in terms of flexibility and raw aim . Chamber ruined him if you actually see his whole career . If he was a better chamber he would have got recognised like sayf , go see the sayf LCQ stats alone , dude put up huge numbers even when GUILD ABSOLUTELY PLAYED LIKE TRASH .

You're mixing up " performances " with " qualification " . Take qualification out the equation and judge chronicle vs sayf chamber battle 😂 it's not even close bro .
