Is it just me or I'm seeing WAY too many no duelist comps than before? Like, in all honesty, Icebox is the only map where you don't require duelists and it's pretty much meta now to not have duelists on that map. But I've been seeing a lot of no duelist comps on maps like Ascent, Pearl and Haven. So are duelists still needed like they used to be? How could the enemy team punish you for not having a duelist as opposed to let's say, not having a controller?

You can use initiators to play the duelist roles, some maps and metas its better because their util is more versatile

No controller is unplayable, it leaves to many angles to clear and hold if you cant smoke out sites or OP angles.
2 maps where duelists are absolutely necessary are bind(raze) and breeze(jett). Other maps can be run without a duelist no problem. The entire role of a duelist is creating space while attacking. They can easily be replicated by having multiple initiators. Having a multi initiator comp also massively strengthens ur defense. As long as chamber is meta like rn,duelists will almost be irrelevant.
