they have a buyout. their contracts are still under the org but they can be bought out.
means they are still binded by contract with an org but org is willing to sell the player .....at a fair buyout ofcourse
The term is mostly use to say they are allowed to explore options while still under contract
If you contact a player directly while they are under contract, it’s called poaching (G2 pastime) and is against the rules and comes with fines. When a player gets permission to look for offers without being let go of their contract, they are a restricted free agent and can be approached
