Kickoff - brazil
Masters - japan
Champions - usa
SilentNight [#3]Can you explain or summarise what's the kickoff tournament for me?
Is that a tournament where everyone can enter?
all 30 franchised teams in a tourney held in sao paolo. That tourney will break fucking records. Mark my words. Brazil fanbase will do us proud.

No I believe it will be franchised teams. But I could be wrong
I agree, though I feel like Champions would be better held in Japan based off of what I got to see from that LAN. The entire event and atmosphere looked amazing already at that stage.
Edit: Plus the fanbase is pretty decent in Japan, and the feeling the crowd gave from it at that event felt more like a bigger tournament than Riots current LANS allow. I've been hoping there would be a possibility at a LAN in Japan since I watched those games.

Ah i see, i'm totally gonna be excited for it cause BR crowds just hypes everyone even their opponents
ChubbyChoob [#11]Japan have big fanbase, big crowd but very strict VISA policy
Yeah, this is the problem. That's why Pacific region will be held in Seoul, South Korea, not in Japan. :(
arin2016 [#18]Guys, Japan is not open to tourism yet. Unless the masters is next year late or somewhere after that time, Japan won't be able to host an event like this.
It's opening rapidly, actually, and will have been open for a while by the the Masters roles around.

they said Riot does have plans for having an event in Japan at some point next year, still not fully confirmed yet but if there's no problem until then they will probably confirm it immediately.

If not next year, I hope to see a LAN in Japan in the future. The recent LAN they held looked amazing

No it is not opening rapidly. There are some people that are trying to halt the progress. This is why I said that unless it's next year late, it won't happen. I don't know when Masters begin but it is not possible to book an event in Japan any time now.

It will obviously happen one time in future because Valorant is popular in Japan, but not the next Masters if it's held soon, that's what I'm saying.
