they used have 100k+ viewers
now alfajer is playing but they get 7k...
SigmaMale [#4]Turkish teams killed turkey scene by being shit
Japan was also trash at the beginning, now they're not that bad
Turkish teams were much better than Japanese teams, they could've easily improved had they been treated well

Japan had like 20+ pro teams despite only having 1 slot
Japan wasnt treated that well either, its more like japan was literally just starting to move away from console gaming to pc gaming

Japan had 2 slots
By the way Turkey had 300 teams signed up for open qualifiers, and as many if not more salaried teams as Japan

wow, whats the number looking like now?
KoreanOverlord [#10]wow, whats the number looking like now?
Probably less, but only because of how Riot behaved with them
Still 4-5 times more than teams in Japan open qualifiers

japan tournaments have over 300 signups (not sure about VCT)
even KR tier 2 tournaments get around 300 signups now

Then why I only saw ~60 teams in Japanese/Korean VCT? That makes no sense. Turkish VCT had 300 teams.
Olofboost [#5]Everyone realizes this
If only Riot weren't so braindead to unite Europe, CIS, Turkey
If only
trueee, too many teams for too little number of slots + CIS would never have survived on its own

Im talking t2 tournaments not VCT

In t2 tournaments Turkey would probably have 500 teams lol
For VCT you need to be immortal or something
Turkey - 300 VCT
Japan/Korea - 60 VCT
Compare
