CHAMPS SLOTS

I'm looking over the Champ slots and realizing something. Here's a breakdown of slots by region.

Asia: 6 slots
1 Japan, 1 Korea
1 "East Asia", and 3 APAC

South America: 4 slots
1 Brazil, 1 LATAM, 2 SA

NA and Europe have 3 slots each.

Hmmmmm...
All I'm saying is, with over 60% of the slots at Champs, an Asian or South American team had better win. (History says that's unlikely though.)

I think many country and many teams in other regions also Asian most population maybe the reason

And it would be NA vs NA or EMEA vs EMEA, but Riot messes with the brackets to make sure they all face each other in the opening rounds.

i like thinking of it like this instead
3 APAC
3 EA
3 NA
3 EU
4 SA (you can even say 2LATAM/2BRAZIL assuming the second best teams from both regions qualify)

looking it like this instead makes me like the way they did these slots more than what some other people suggest for slots

Grouping APAC and EA is like putting SA and NA together, they’re different regions with a different playstyle. With 7 slots in Chanpions (nearly half), an American team better win by your logic.

This is good way to look, APAC region and asian region is like many country but NA for example is only like 2 i think and like brazil = 1 country

Riot has a lot more to gain from bringing in viewers outside of Europe than from trying to bring over the CSGO fans, so it makes sense for their expansion

That actually makes it look way better when organized like that I guess, but this would be even better:
2 APAC
3 EA
3 LATAM/BRAZIL + SA LCQ
4 NA
4 EMEA

APAC loses one (and let's be real, is BOOM not making it really going to make Champs play any different?)
South America loses one (RIP KRU, you will be missed [not by me, but...])
and we get Cloud 9, The Guard, Liquid, and M3C instead of just two of the four.

Masters 1 Br x Na finals, Masters 2 Emea x Apac. Asia: 4 region (Apac, Koreia, Japan and China) SA: 2 region( latam+Br) Na: 1 region
Emea: 1 region. So stop comparing emea and NA slots with Asia or SA. Asia and SA is a junction of regions, not a region soon there will be more slots

You know what, fair enough! (Optic or LOUD could still win it too)

I guess it's really just EMEA getting screwed.

Yeah, I agree that the EMEA slots aren’t reasonable at all, they should’ve given the extra SA LCQ slot to the winner of Copenhagen in my opinion or just made it a permanent EMEA slot
