Am I crazy or is XSET just playing a more refined version of Loud’s ascent? The resemblance is uncanny

Yeah I guess but the defense is pretty damn similar

Omen playing A
Killjoy always on B
Kayo playing mainly on garden using his util to avoid the enemy controls it
Jett Op picking either cat or B main
Sova playing CT, constantly rotating between bombs

The preference for retake on A site with omen and KJ going door while the rest goes heaven

These are some of the most obvious resemblances but there’s a lot more, XSET is just making some minor adjustments but the base game is the same

most of this is pretty standard no? This comp is old af and I've been seeing this exact same set up for ages. If I try I could probably find c9 running this in lcq/champs but with astra

I mean this is how optic and c9 played ascent in stage 1. Loud was particularly good at it but they didnt invent this set up. Literally look back at most stage 1 emea and na vods and you will see this consistent setup except for like v1 switching up the kj or like the brim playing with a molly instead of omen.
