So good !!! They don't look for ex-CS tier 2/tier 3 pros but young talents. Players like Derke, Alfajer were nobody before Valorant
wizardbot [#2]Derke was one of the rising talents in finnish csgo scene along with jamppi I think? Agree about alfajer
I know that, but his CV was not standouts like Scream, Nivera, etc
queueK [#4]pretty sure derke played tier 2 / tier 3 cs
people like magnum, braveaf are the real insane pickups
https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Derkeps , I don;t think he was tier 2 back then. KOVA ranking peaked 63. Yeah, BraveF Magnum also , both insane talents
valulrantefanboy [#3]I know that, but his CV was not standouts like Scream, Nivera, etc
Yes but you literally said in your post that they don't look for t2/t3 pros when derke was one himself. Derke definitely wouldn't have stayed a tier 2/3 pro because he was rated highly in the finnish scene but thats not relevant

https://liquipedia.net/counterstrike/Derkeps , for me not look like tier 2 , lower tier 3 maybe

oh idk about that, I didn't follow cs scene much just knew he was a spoken off highly. Doesn't matter anyway he switched very young, he's just 19 rn and top 5 itw (imo). I don't think anyone who switched before 19 should be called washed or a tier 3 pro in cs

Nah thats tier 2, winning tourney sand one of them was against havu gaming which some of the players managed to reach a major final.

Alfajer was a well known pro before Fnatic

Ofc but Valorant is his first game professionally and he's only 16, thats what I was talking about
