I doubt that model can work in VCT tho as you need 3 players from same subregion look at orangutan they couldn't participate from India quals either as they didn't have 3 Indians but can Qualify from RoSA as they have 3 from SA with addition of shooter from Pakistan
so if there is hypothetically a indo+th+sg+my+ph team they play from what subregion?

not only in SA but also all country in APAC, you need 3 players in the same country (except MY/SG you need at least 3 from MY + SG)
