More proof that EMEA is mostly a tier 2 region. This is not a bad thing, just an observation. Same level as apacalart from the top 2, maybe 3 teams

It's not a flex. EMEA is mostly a T2 region. We have 2, maybe 3 teams that can solidly compete at the top international level. Fnc , Navi and vit (maybe).
Fut are mid, they've never exceeded 8th internationally. They've never beaten any good teams at International tournaments either. There's definitely a tier break. They're a solid T2 team.
I just realised that in this group, there's no advantage to winning your first match.
Win round 1 and have to play fnatic which you'll lose and then play a rematch, which statistically you'll lose in Valorant lower brackets.
If you win your first match, you need 2 wins to qualify.
If you lost your first match, you only need 1 win.

Rather than looking at 1 specific team. I would look at the delta for each tournament, between the top teams and worst teams, and everything in between to decide how competitive each tournament was.
I'd agree with your remark about 2022 arguably being more competitive top to bottom than 2023, partially anyway. Alot changes from 1 event to another. Event or era weighting itself isn't the most important thing. If we measure round wins (the leading indicator) as a proportion to rounds played. This solves the new team / era issue.
