We are exiting the tunnel of "overbuff overnerf" patches now (imo) with having any controller be viable, flex picks galore, no solid 1 comp meta really, etc. Surprise factor obviously is a weighted choice over the potential loss of comfortability, but its unlikely any team worth talking about is changing comps off a whim. Funny enough, Ascend's comps honestly pushes the concept that pro teams are where viability is tested. Astra was dominant, ascend didnt give a fuck and managed to make it work flawlessly on bind. The comfort factor comes with any comp u like running as a team. Time is not everything otherwise updates wouldn't even matter.
Can also tell you that just because a comp is "more successful" does not explicitly mean it is more comfortable for the team.
On the same note, a comp can fail with 4 players comfortable and 1 not being up to par on an agent they need to be able to play. I am making this point because when a team's comp choices are noted you are going to have a very hard time accurately guessing how "uncomfortable" it actually is for the players. Tiny errors can lose whole rounds; singular rounds can economically lose you a whole match. This isn't a tailored argument for any team's recent history its just the broad reality that goes into the decisions.
