China >>> EU, NA, Rest of Asia, the fucking Martians

China is the question and the answer. China is the statement, China is the truth, China is the first interaction and the final boss.

idk what's going on, but I'm like 0% sure there is video footage of Marved hitting a vape between maps. Was consuming nicotine mid-game allowed regionally? Is it just the nature of how snus was used? I'm sure this will cause riot to put out some sort of statement, just to give more information then.

Bro I've gone fucking mad I have no clue why I thought this about marved

Loud winning Champs, less drops 40 every map, dunks on lebron, and MVP's in both leagues. GG.

posted 9 months ago

Cool, plus they soft confirmed 2 international events next year. Here's hoping for 2 masters type events and no bs lock//in style.

posted 10 months ago

of course I'm counting lock in, it was the starter to the season. I'm talking about the year as a whole, so it would only make sense to include.

posted 10 months ago

and, in theory, they can end the year with a POSITIVE RECORD. They'd have to win out every game for the rest of the year, but they could end the season 11-10. Just thought it was a cool little thing and a piggy back off of their LCQ run.

posted 10 months ago

Set play team that saves in any lower-man situations is bad for the hard-entry Jett who is supposed to OP at every opportunity. Crazy.

posted 10 months ago

I think Navi is trash too, but they ran (basically) the same comp on 3 separate maps, of which everyone - except Rhyme - had played their agents 4 OR LESS TIMES IN THEIR CAREER before that match. That's funny. I believe.

posted 10 months ago

I trust in giants for some strange reason. I hate on EMEA teams a lot, but I believe in Giants to do... anything.

posted 10 months ago

That's what I'm saying. Group A the REAL group of death, both LCQ teams looking good.

posted 10 months ago

Group D won a total of 3 matches between the 4 teams at Masters Tokyo.

DRX and Navi has never looked worse.
Loud is on the downswing of their livespan.
And Liquid is historically VERY inconsistent.

Group A >>>> Group D

posted 10 months ago

Nah, I already think group A is the group of death.

Group D is a bunch of has-beens and big names that make us think it's a group of death. COMBINED THEY WON 3 MATCHES AT MASTERS.

Statistically, AM is 10-9 against EMEA with Fnatic being 7 of those losses. The other 2 were Kru and Lev vs Navi. However, that was the worst we had seen Kru (mid point from Levi) and the BEST Navi looked all year.

posted 10 months ago

WERE THEY TROLLING? AND STILL 3-0'D???

Yes Raze is Rhyme's most played agent, but:
Fit1nho has played breach 7 times in his career
Nukkye has played omen 5 times in his career
Cloud has played jett 5 times
and this was hoody's first time ever playing chamber in a match (and clouds yoru)

What the fuck.

posted 10 months ago

All it took was adding a 5th player (Klaus and Axeddy were quite literally 2/3 worst two players during the regular season, idk how people looked over the fact that Kru was having super close games with the equivalent of a bum leg)

posted 10 months ago

Don't forget Zeta and the 2022 M1 run. They have the potential to make champs, and that's some sweet extra viewership.

posted 10 months ago

I'm genuinely happy that a LATAM team decided to play the game again, let alone both.

posted 10 months ago

How were we supposed to expect that Klaus and Taco learned to aim during the two months off? Plus, who was going to bet that Shyy and Keznit would elevate their play from keeping their teams afloat to dragging their teams limp corpses every day?

posted 10 months ago

I just want Kru to win and go to champs, then they beat literally any EMEA team so I can say that AM 10th seed is better than a top 5 EMEA squad.

Yes I know Kru are no longer a 10th seed. This is VLR, if you're not throwing shit around like a caged monkey than what are you doing here?

posted 10 months ago

all good, it's still Gen.G

posted 10 months ago

I had them both going.

posted 10 months ago

This is the one and only time you will ever hear this from me.

I hope KC win.

posted 10 months ago

I was able to stay up for every 'early' game, and most of the 2nd games. Not many of the 3rd games tho, those crossed the line for time.

posted 10 months ago

This is actually the first game I've been able to watch since their win over TS in playoffs. I've just been too tired for the late games that Gen.G has gotten so far. I'm just happy to watch.

posted 10 months ago

That shitty joke made me more suicidal than this damn team.

posted 10 months ago

I have no hope and I want to die.

posted 10 months ago

I posted this after I had an instalock raze go 10-16 backseating me and throwing me, who is trying to lurk and control the map on cypher, the bomb EVERY ROUND. Some players deserve to play with others who were dropped as children.

posted 10 months ago

My idea of execution is more akin to a test consisting mostly of what you should do in certain situations and some pattern recognition (which most online IQ tests are based on). Get players who learn and visualize the game better, then develop the mechanics. It allows those who have better IQ not to be completely bogged down by mechanical ability, leading to worse habits in lower elo's. It rewards the general playstyle of not swinging when it's fucking dumb and making other objectively poor choices.

posted 10 months ago

We need an IQ test in Valorant to be a secondary to MMR. How it works is that, when your account is comp ready, you have to take a 30 minute IQ test. This will put you in a mental bracket that is secondary to your actual rank. So dumb fucks will be stuck with toddlers, and people with braincells will play against each other. It can be retaken every episode, with a new set of questions. This will fix a TON in every elo.

Not claiming that im not braindead btw

I'm just so sad, just in general.

bro is speaking highly for being tied with Attacking Soul Esports.

posted 10 months ago

They have a 5.3 without Navi. Still worse than AM. And again, despite the free top 8 and the winning team.

posted 10 months ago

About the second question, it illustrates the idea that just because a region has the best team doesn't mean they have the best teams. I don't think that, because you house the champion, you deserve to send more representation that lowers the bar of competition. They have the lowest average placement of all regions despite having a free top 8 position and the 1st place team. If they are the "better region" they should show it as a region not as a region with Fnatic.

posted 10 months ago

I realized it at the same time as you, it's a lot of numbers. They blend into each other.

posted 10 months ago

Why are we fighting when Fnatic owns both of our regions.

posted 10 months ago

Basically title. Do of it what you wish.

Lock//in

Records:

AM: 13-10
NA: 6-4

EMEA: 12-9
Fnatic: 5-0

Pacific: 6-10

China: 0-2

Average Placement

AM: 17
EMEA: 19.7
Pacifc: 25.2
China: 32

Masters

Records:

AM: 9-8
NA: 9-6

EMEA: 6-6
Fnatic: 4-0

Pacific: 6-7

China: 4-4

Average Placement

AM: 4.7
EMEA: 7.25
Pacifc: 7
China: 9

It is up to your discretion of whether or not to count Navi in the average placement. Without Navi, it's a 5.3 for EMEA. But, if you get 2 free teams in top 8 AND the winning team, I'd argue that the 4th squad you sent for "being the best region" should be counted.

Total 2023:

AM: 22-18
EMEA: 18-15
Pacific: 12-17
China: 4-6
NA: 15-10

EMEA vs AM: 9-10
EMEA vs NA: 5-8

NA is (all time) 18-16 against EMEA teams.

Fun Fact: Fnatic have faced NA 5/9 (100T, NRG, Sen, EGx2) games, and AM 7/9 games (Furia, Loud). Other two was Navi and PRX.
There have been 19 AM vs EMEA games.

posted 10 months ago

All I pray for in life is Kru to win LCQ, go to champs, and beat even just a single EMEA team. Could be fucking fut, and for the next week i'll just be shouting about how the AM 10 seed is better than a top 3 emea team. Even if it's like giants too. Just one win out of Kru. That's all I need.

posted 10 months ago

They actually have a 5th player playing the game. Axeddy and Klaus were two of the bottom 3 players in AM (based on rating). The only one worse was fucking dephh. Kru hasn't had a useable team all year, so it makes sense that - when a team is challenging EVERY other team in the region with 4 players - 5 players playing VERY well can make all the difference. Klaus went from 103 ADR and a 0.74 K/D to a 123 ADR and a 1.1 K/D. That is the major change between then and now. Melser is also playing way better, but Klaus has made a LEAP from the regular season to now.

posted 10 months ago

Klaus was the worst player in AM (of all players still playing the game) during the regular season. He is now top 10 in LCQ thru the 4 games kru has played. Him playing the fucking game has made all the difference.

posted 10 months ago

Klaus learned how to use a mouse over the month off and has a real players K/D for the first time since 2021. Him being DOGSHIT during the season was (imo) the main thing holding them back. Same during 2022. Now that they have a solid team of 5 players who can ALL pop off, they are a serious threat.

posted 10 months ago

Some would call them the Kru of Asia.

posted 10 months ago

I think skye in this comp makes more sense for Sen, since Zekken is really good on the agent and it solves a few weaknesses of the reyna version.
