the region gets another entry, Fnatic could theoretically bomb out of this season and not make Masters: Tokyo

Maybe 100T underperformed, but Chichoo and KangKang are actually insane at this game

The way the site works,
NA wins a matchup. NA on TOP
EMEA wins a matchup. EMEA on TOP

Shouldnt Marved be in here
Optic consistency is largely in part due to yay with Marved taking over on his off games

This would just destroy viewership for the pro scene for other regions. Korea/China already have enough slots to prove that they can be world champions

Its just the location of the Venue, you already know if it was in NA/JP/BR shit would be sold out instantly.
EMEA is tough just cause theres so many countries there so travel is more dedicated

I think the only change I would make is that instead of the top team from regional league making it masters, it could be a mini tournament with the (lets say) 5th/6th place from franchising and top 2 from regional to fight out for the last spot. Or else some T1 teams might just be happier fighting the T2 path to Masters

posted about 3 years ago

I think this just ruins the idea of how franchising secures them a spot in the league.
The idea of franchising is to ensure that there is long term investment from teams to keep Valorant going.

Esport career is very volatile and not sustainable (unless succesful streamer). Grabbing a degree is a safe fallback to get

posted about 3 years ago

yea but solution could you propose?
The current format makes the most sense imo

GIves teams time to adapt to changes without losing their strats right away

I actually really like all the EMEA teams. But its posts like these that make me not want them to win sometimes
