Nah they're not winning another trophy this year

The competition is just too stacked and too hungry now

You can yap as much as you want but Lock-in will actually be remembered more than most Masters events

A lot was different but it was still a T1 international tournament organized by Riot

It also gave us the best and most memorable series in VCT history

Yes there were a lot of mid teams at the tournament but the amount of actual banger teams was still the same (The best Asian teams remained unchanged in PRX and DRX, The best Americas teams still had their core 3 in Optic, Loud and Lev and EMEA had the FPX and Fnatic core so it was even footing).

Chronicle disrespect is so annoying tbh

3 international titles
2 different teams
got cucked in 2022
Hardest role in the team

2nd best rated player at masters Berlin which they won
4th best rated players at champs 2021 (2nd place)
1.11 rating (300+ rounds) at lock-in which they won
3rd best rated at masters tokyo which they won
Lowest placement at an international tournament was 4th at champs in which he underperformed for the first time in his career

False narrative that he got carried in his title wins

2022 Marved for sure (Crashies underrated as well), Ardiis/Zyppan deserve a shout as well

2023 Jingg for sure (he was the most impactful PRX player by far and they had a very good year overall)

posted 1 month ago

I still don't see them doing better than NRG and Sentinels but they can outperform G2 and C9 for sure no?

Then in playoffs anything can happen if their shooters shoot

They've got some a lot of real shooters now

posted 1 month ago

Damn Keznit + Heat they got shooters now

Lev for Americas
TH for EMEA
BLG for China
Pacific is gonna be right

posted 2 months ago

Legit think they're only going to be hungry for the one thing they haven't won yet which is Champions but you know maybe not making an international event might wake up that fire again

posted 2 months ago

saw their vid today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QR48b6ZDQNw

Yeah these guys just aren't hungry anymore it feels like

Just some colleagues playing the game as a job (and Elma ain't really helping)

They deffo need a vibe merchant that's not the IGL suffering during the game

4/7 wins now
Fnatic lost (only 1 map ban back then)
Optic won
FPX won
Optic lost
EG lost
EG won
Sen won

Basically Pacific should come from the lower bracket if they ever wanna win a tournament lol (they can't deal with the pressure of being the favorites)

posted 2 months ago

Yeah facts but one thing that remains true is that single-elimination to qualify for a major event ain't it and it should never ever happen again

posted 2 months ago

Yeah since it had double-elim unlike kick-off

No hunger and drive basically

My bad on the suboptimal comp remark but I was pretty much spot on

  1. FNATIC Lock-in - Masters Tokyo (undeniable dominance)
  2. Gambit Masters Berlin - Champions
  3. OPTIC/Loud 2022 (consistency/ups and downs)
  4. SENTINELS start of 2021
  5. EG masters Tokyo - Champions

Paper Rex honorable mention as the uncrowned kings ❤️

posted 2 months ago

Nah if you go by titles it's still Chronicle

Man was just a couple of rounds away from winning champs as well

Is it fair to say that EU could possibly become the dominant region in a few years when most pro players are actually just Valorant players with no CS background?

posted 2 months ago

Definitely not
It's still an FPS game and Europe dominates those games
I think we will already see the resurgence of EU in the coming future (Shangai and Champs)

posted 2 months ago

How do you guys think it's gonna develop

Will it be EU dominated?
Will it be just as it is right now (competitive between most regions)?
Will Asia become the best?

Will you still be playing or watching the game?

posted 2 months ago

They're winning in Shangai tho it's always been like that

posted 2 months ago

There I said it

Lev and NRG will easily make it and that 3rd spot will be highly contested but Sen will barely miss out on it

posted 2 months ago

Best crowds
Almost no tech pauses
Best timezone

2 tournaments in Asia now aaaaaaaahhhhh

posted 2 months ago

Second masters = EMEA win

Champions = Americas or EMEA

It's a cycle

My prediction:
Fnatic wins Shangai
Team Heretics/Leviatan wins Champions

posted 2 months ago

GG WP Sentinels

posted 2 months ago

Pacific in grand finals

posted 2 months ago

in the game

insane performance

posted 2 months ago

I feel so bad for him aaaaaarhhh

Want Gen.G to win but bloody love Amine

posted 2 months ago

Surely no massive comeback this time?

posted 2 months ago

Basically gets them a couple of rounds every single map
Way more than other teams

posted 2 months ago

You don't care about the first World Champions and possibly the first Asian champions yeah get the fuck out

posted 2 months ago

Sliggy + YouTube = elite

posted 2 months ago

is legit just hope Gen.G chokes

Sorry not sorry

posted 2 months ago

for the amount of round both teams won that they should've lost

posted 2 months ago

They should stomp Ascent

posted 2 months ago

Will be tough with how hungry certain teams will be (NRG, Lev, Fnatic,...)

posted 2 months ago

yeah they will be an actual top 4 team this whole year

They're the real deal

Need the real big dogs to step up and challenge them (NRG and Fnatic I'm looking at you 2 especially)

posted 2 months ago

Gen.G has Bind in the bag as well no?

posted 2 months ago

Gen.G
NRG
Fnatic
TH
Lev
Loud at champs
Prx
Vitality

(Sen/KC I'm not sure tbh they might have peaked already)

posted 2 months ago

they're actually the only world class team at the tournament

All the others have their fair share of glaring issues

Sen can only play a couple of maps to a high level for example.

But understandable at the start of the year

posted 2 months ago

Breeze (should be easy)
Bind (Gen.G is 2-0 + have tape on Sen)
Ascent (Gen.G is a straight up better default Ascent comp team)

Would be nice to have another 5 map banger ending on Icebox to start the year tho

posted 2 months ago

it's gonna be heartbreak

Asia fully deserve their first title so it's time to earn it today

posted 2 months ago

Paper Rex will just put him on perma clove no?

They would make it work as well

posted 2 months ago

more bundles sold

who is the real winner now huh?

posted 2 months ago

Never seen a bigger cap
