yeah I think they might just ban Haven instead of breeze. Since ASE is the 1st seed, they r picking the 1st map, right? So it could be ASE Lotus, TE Bind/split and Decided Breeze/wat remains previously if breeze is banned by ASE in the 2nd round.

Based.

(Felt kinda awkward to just talk about BLG here but ig we just need more time to get used to TE and RA like what we did to EDG and BLG.)

No inside info but I think they changed their roster to deal with Yosemite's issues and got no time for scrims under the current lineup after the champs, maybe in Act 3 they will be back. Imo, BLG was the only team that surprised us on the world stage (The first half of Lotus against DRX, and the second half as well xd). Few expected ASE&FPX to stand out and EDG was more like overcoming their 1st-win-nightmare to become what they should be.

Hope they solve their problems soon. BLG seems to enjoy in-game trading coz Rin and Biank are fabulous on clutches. Maybe they should practice their diving skills and corporations more often or wait for Yosemite to do his magic on the other side. On split, they put Yosemite on Viper(always) and Knight on Cypher. The combination is so passive that no wonder they got shit on by EDG and TE on offense.

ASE wins if TE first ban breeze, could be a close one.

Analysis:
ig ASE will ban Sunset no matter wat.
Usually TE will ban breeze.

Overall banpick for TE: Ascent&Lotus>Bind>Haven, split is their secret weapon(their 1st ban is split in 10.20, but 4 days later against the same team BLG it's a 13:4)

ASE r more flexible on these maps that they would ban Lotus against RA and Bind against Tyloo, maps that opponents r good at in second round(or I just can't find patterns like TE). As a ordinary viewer I can understand the strengths of ASE on Bind/Lotus/Haven against TE, we will see.

To me it seems like they r confident in those five maps except breeze, which is reasonable.
-- Sentinal r not regular picks in breeze, bad for Yuicaw; Life is questionable on Yoru and neon; last time the best CN KayO(IMO) was playing viper and Yuicaw was playing gekko, I guess they were slaughtered by EDG and copied their roster-- IMO the major reason EDG uses gekko instead of KayO is the same as why they seldomly play Ascent after KayO became a regular pick-- They just can't do KayO! Those two ascent games at champs r the most painful ones when Ethan and Saadhak just owns them...

Anyway, won't be surprised if TE does carry out Breeze and gets a win, but overall a 2-1 for ASE.

RA/FPX/Tyloo fighting for one spot, that's cruel. ig it also indicates the development of CN val after these teams had showed us what they can do.

ASE 2-1. Yuicaw dominate Bind with his chamber.

FPX2-1
my only concern is Lysoar. I remember him as a promising rookie but last night and recent vlrgg stats seems to go the other way (the stats is missing partially so not that convincing). Plz prove me wrong.

yeah they definitely need more stability, especially on def side. Monk and Yuicaw ASE r just like the aggressive unstable version and a slightly passive but stablized version.(I was prepared for a Yuicaw pop-off and it still surprised me).

G2&3 against FUT was painful when they were clearly overheat and engage in individual fights and throw it one by one.

Was kinda sarcastic on 01 mb, glad to see him read the game and got some shots through the smoke or by wall bang.( Their Lotus A defense was so diverse and active).

And life definitely need to upgrade himself more, that ascent game looks like he is isolated from the others while entering, with the jett nerf we need him.

FPX: Fast Paced XD
throw it hard when they dive

Classic def side ASE performance I would say.

nah it's just they have met 3 times after kone boys joined, no other A tier teams meet each other like this. Losing in the cq was sad and the following two wins r kinda illusional when Tyloo turned out to fail people's expectations again.

Ps:Yuicaw crosshair placement is insane and u might also get why I love AY, I can't breathe now...

Yeah I get your point, it might just be my bias upon the new kid in town. Should be more patient about him in a brand new lineup, as he is also the victim of that Life-being-igl-period.

Anyway I am excited for this match, or should I say i want anything but TylooπŸ™„

kinda interested in this "yuicaw&YHCHEN vs Monk&Bunt" discussion coz my ideal lineup up would be bunt replacing zero1 and Monk compete with yuicaw as the sentinal(different playstyle)

Here is my idea about these players.

YHchen
I ve been watching ASE since Life joined them in 2022 and can't help noticing YHchen eventually becoming a solid igl with decent rifle plays. his late game calls r half the reason why ASE was such a lethal team on the offensive side. I might be ex aggerating but he's above my expectations so much. Sneaky odin player.

Yuicaw
Had to admit I was a AY lover and Yuicaw haters, coz I felt he was an average Lcq level duelist, a shitty rifle player with inconsistency and lack of discipline. However his ASE career looks fine with multiple kills and experienced positioning. Being a sentinal solve his overheat issue as well.
The only two things I worried about, r him being the same fraud in the following games and being a much passive player comparing to Monk.

Monk
The sheriff master that keeps evolving. He is a aggressive sentinal player that gives ASE extra advantage on eco rounds. in my opinion he and Yosemite are the only two players in CN who can make a difference on the weak side of the map, others r limited by team strategies and abilities.

Bunt
His teammates takes all the glory on the offense side but his performance on the def side is solid when he stays in the C site of Haven there will be a trade for two and no retake( overall this team is full of aggressive playes.) Life duo with him a lot of times btw.

Zero1
Sry but idk what's the strategy of him staying in the lineup. I thought he was just replacing YHchen for several months as flex, but he stays and keeps bot frag-ing. Maybe he can play controllers and bunt can't do initiators?πŸ˜“
