what a fucking mess. Bad last minute communications noone is seeing or knowing of. Bad format. Qualifiers not even broadcasted for 6(/8) out of the 10 teams....

qualifiers squeezed in at a terrible congested time of the schedule....

Terrible all around

posted 4 months ago

They can. But dont deny the obvious decrease in quality those games suffer as a result. Worse for viewers and more taxing for teams. Who wins here?

posted 4 months ago

i understand you picking up something from that but it is unclear what exactly the omission of "and will be broadcasted" means. Will they broadcast some but not all games? How would the split be? 80/20? 50/50? 20/80? Have they just not decided yet whether they will boradcast yet? Will they just stream a clean feed maybe?

Truth is we got no idea. They have not communicated properly.

you still ignore the fact that FNCs best 3 maps are Tejo free which is a massive deal. Heretics is the best team in the world and FNC still should have won the Lotus and there is no team that beats heretics on haven right now on the planet. It is still a strong map for them. "The defence is bad". My guy thats just how the Iso comp is. You stomp on attack and you need to survive on defence.

Also you have just decided to give G2 a complete free pass as if takes 0 work to make their changes. Yes there are comps to pivot to but you can not just "slot in another agent" as easily as youre trying to present it. AT all. Ah, just slot in sova and youre fine, no big deal! Come on... Who doesnt know the massive impact sova has on post plant delay.

If anything i see a chance for FNC. On their weaker maps other teams lose the lead they had with their tejo comps getting nerfed. They have to find new comps. And FNC wasnt good on those anyways so they both have to work on those maps. FNC just doesnt have to work on Split , Haven and Lotus any noteworthy amount on top of that. Which G2 definitely must do.

EMEA having less prep time is a massive disadvantage. However they got lucky that they get much less affected by the big meta shift. So it balances out to some degree. What will end up weighing heavier we will see in Toronto

posted 4 months ago

Brother you need a least a week to seriously fix a map most of the time. Even having a month will not fix all of G2s 7 maps. Especially since they would have 0 real proof of the maps working on stage and not only in scrims. How many times have teams thought their map was good just to find out it absolutely sucks on stage.

First of all FNC have 3 strong maps. AS much as youre trying to dispute it thats a fact. Also FNC KNOW their split is really good. They know their Lotus is really strong. They know their Haven is good. They have proof of concept by beating all those teams. And just because you have tape out doesnt mean you can beat map. FNC had played the exact same Lotus all of 2023 and nobody could beat it. G2 have (mostly) been playing exactly the same way on their maps this year but teams couldnt beat them. You just have to do minimal work. Do some anti. Maybe change a couple of really minor things to keep it fresh and that it. You can do that in a day.

Yes, EMEA has much less time. But also EMEA NEED much less time. That is a fact that you should stop trying to argue.

If Nats win ----> GOAT

posted 4 months ago

Ehhh... Fracture is like their 4th map.

Split and Lotus are clearly their two top picks with Haven being also good. All of these 3 are Tejo less which is the important thing. Meaning they already have 3 strong maps in the bank. Thats a huge lead to Americas who have 0 or 1 non tejo maps.

Now they get on Icebox, Ascent, Pearl and Sunset like every other team.

I mean look at G2. The have to rework Icebox, Lotus, Split, Ascent, Pearl AND Haven. 6 maps need a lot more time than the 3 of FNC.

proxh is insane. You lose the flexibility of kada but gain a potential star player. This teams shooting ability is bonkers at this point.

I wonder what happens after the EWC quals? This being a loan is very confusing

posted 4 months ago

Again? lmao.

posted 4 months ago

Here is your answer for Tejo: https://www.vlr.gg/488073/tejo-nerfs-strongly-benefit-emea-and-prx-analysis/#12

In regards to Sunset heretics is gonna get massively buffed. They dont play fracture and love sunset.

posted 4 months ago

Kada didnt deserve to be benched but Proxh is a potential star player. he got that level of talent.

im confused why it is just a loan though.

posted 4 months ago

Proxh??? When did that happen?

incredible player though

posted 4 months ago

they are playing EWC qualifiers are they not?

posted 4 months ago

TH will be the best team in the post Tejo meta. Trash talking now and still winning all your games will drive their haters nuts

posted 4 months ago

you have to completely change your tejo maps which takes a lot of time. That fact is independent of their natural affinity to tejo vs non tejo comps.

Also mibr are 0/3 on ascent, one of their two non tejo maps. Icebox is the only unnerfed map they are good on.

And with Sens haven.... Their 3 wins are against Loud, 2G and EG at their worst. Not exactly tough competition.

posted 4 months ago

bruh. give the prx train any more fuel was not my intention 😭😭😭

posted 4 months ago

sure but the narrative has just been that EMEA is screwed due to less prep time but it hasnt been acknowledged that they also need less prep time since they have less to change and figure out.

posted 4 months ago

I heard sideshow say "we have no clue what the post tejo meta will be" which irritated me since i thought EMEA very much showed what that meta could look like on quite a few maps. So i looked into it and tried to find out which regions and teams already have a a finger on the pulse of the new meta

Methodology:
I am leaving fracture out since its going out of rotation. Also leaving out perma bans since they dont have a comp on them so they cant be nerfed.

I deem a map from a team a Tejo comp map according to following factors:
Recency of Tejo comps vs non tejo comps, relative amount of tejo comps on a map vs total times map was played and in close situations the winrate of the tejo vs non tejo comps on a map. Generally its only hard to classify them if there is a low sample size of maps played. I tried to lean towards trying to present the current state of teams map pools instead of being a slave to untimely data of the earlier weeks.

First i list the amount of positive classification decisions on whether a map (e.g. Haven) is deemed a Tejo map for a team relative to the total amount of maps in the map pool. (G2: "6/6 maps")

Second i added the total amount of times Tejo was NOT played on a map by a team relative to the total amount of maps played in stage 1. Goal was to show whether a teams best maps which are more likely to be chosen to be played repeatedly are Tejo dependent or not. ( Sen: "------> 7/23")

Findings:

G2: 6/6 maps (100%) comps include Tejo -------> 0/29 (0%) non-fracture individual maps played without(!) tejo.
Sen: 5/6 maps (83%) ----------------------------------------------> 7/23 (30%)
MiBr: 4/6 maps (66%) --------------------------------------------> 7/23 (30%)

Heretics: 2/6 (33%) ---------> 9/14 (64%)
FNC: 3/6 (50%) ----------------> 14/16 (88%)
Liquid: 3/6 (50%) -------------> 8/15 (53%)
BBL: 4/6 (66%) ----------------> 5/16 (31%)

RRQ 4/6 (66%) ----------------> 4/25 (16%)
GenG 4/6 (66%) --------------> 8/21 (38%)
PRX 1/6 (16%) ----------------> 14/21 (66%)

XLG 4/6 (66%) ----------------> 4/18 (22%)

Fuck W0lves and the Billi twins. I will not bother with that trash.

Conclusion:
EMEA heavily benefits from these changes as they were not as willing to adopt the Tejo meta as much as the other regions. Only BBL is closer to americas in Tejo usage than EMEAs average. Also PRX is a massive beneficiary. They moved away quickly from Tejo after initially trying it on a few maps.

Excuse me if i made some minor errors. I had a long day and cant be arsed to triple check.

simondark i will give you. he had a great split

but tag is like 15th in his position in T2.... its the same apeks madness that made them sign governor.

Dach teams actually strongly believe they can ascend and try to be protective over their players (CGN, Fokus). Also you have the factor of academy transfers (koi) and affiliate swaps (Giants) boosting numbers.

Cyvoph and veqaj already got called up without affiliate or Acad connections. And the other best players in the league are locked in by KCorp. Unless they call them up they have them in contract prison.

The best players in Northeast are either russian with visa issues (razziss) or underage (quickz, chaza, wanzeru, krizz, GSR).

Mena is a different universe nobody watches untill their combined playoffs. Also just weaker on average.

Turkey of course have visa issues like the russians. Now however would be the ideal time to sign some turks. May still be some risk attached to it.

posted 4 months ago

no. you absoluetly can fucking not. It would be a ludicrous argument.

Turkey is in a different galaxy. Germany is much much better. France is also better.

Best they can hope right now is to beat North east but im not sure i would pred them there either even before their players left.

Best you can argue is they beat MENA.

Spain has never shown anything in T2. Their teams are just bad. The players that were promoted are decent but the deciding factor is either connections or convenience. Only the serial pick has been solely on merit alone.

posted 4 months ago

al0 is NOT good on vyse

posted 4 months ago

i mean if he looks good in trials im fine with him but his northeast stint has been a massive stinker so far

posted 4 months ago

i would only take 3 or 4 of those players confidently over Koala. He is not a bad player. Just mid

posted 4 months ago

Izana has a much much higher ceiling. Sevire would be a clear downgrade individually from Elite.

Only talent i would promote (if they needed those roles) are Yohpa and Fangeer.

posted 4 months ago

half of these names are worse than him.

Also some are still under 18 like yigox

But there are indeed better options

posted 4 months ago

No. they signed simondark

posted 4 months ago

izana is T1 ready. he will not play academy anymore

posted 4 months ago

yes. its 80-90% happening at this point

posted 4 months ago

1. Izana
Massive massive talent. 18 yo with great aim. Plays all sentis including Vyse which was a key factor in dropping Elite. Also as a bonus is french. This is byyy faaaar the most obvious pick. Like this would be a big get for karmine Corp. Essentially pre empting the market as Izana would be one of the top options from T2 in the offseason Sentinel market.

---
big gap
---

  1. Azury
    Good player in Dach who is very well versed on Vyse and the old sentis. Just and overall solid option

  2. Kovaq
    Former Sova merchant who is an inform top player in Dach. Decently experienced and recently made the full switch to senti which he has performed well on. Only a couple of Vyse games but he did decently well.

  3. Soulcas
    Did decently well individually on a shit team (1.03 rating). He was on Vyse duty. So at least some experience on T1 level.

  4. Sheydos
    Plays a good bit of KJ and Cypher but no Vyse. You would have to hope that he picks it up well without experience.

  5. Lime
    Definition of flexible. Delivered a lot of good performances on KJ and Cypher but so far no Vyse or Deadlock

  6. Tomaszy
    Played really really well on Sentinel role for Karmine Corp but was moved to smoke before vyse came out. Also his confidence is in the gutter so thats a factor you have to consider.

EMEA playoffs still running until may 18th.

Meanwhile EWC qualifiers scheduled to start at may 16th for EMEA. No announcement where. No idea who is gonna play when.

At the same time challengers EMEA starting may 19th.

EWC quals are scheduled to end may 25th and Toronto already starts June7th....

This schedule is mad.

you say "pattern" without knowing what that word means. Derke did it now with trexx for the first time.

Also Sayf essentially just defended himself from rumours spread by the liquid camp. And once again, even if you count this "incident". It is one case. NOT a pattern. He did not comment negatively on trexx.

This account is terrible. Really feels like a trexx alt.
