For right now at least:
1) Ascent
2) Bind
3) Fracture
4) Haven
5) Icebox
6) Split
7) Breeze
That's a good point, probably can't fully change their playstyles but I do think they could tweak things enough that it might throw people off idk
I agree but judging by comments on some other threads, some people think they should've and I wanted to understand why they thought that more. Wondering if it was just my 100T bias that made me think they shouldn't haha
Wanna get y'all's opinion on this because I am torn on what I think, I see arguments either way
For Restarting: This one is kinda obvious, the whole setup of NA LCQ has changed from an online LAN (lol) to completely online. By the time things restart, there will have been like 2 weeks in between the first 3 matches on the first day to the first 3 matches for the bottom half. I think you could consider this an unfair advantage. 100T came in and showed how they were playing their map pool for 2 bo3 that each went the distance. Now they have had 2 weeks and could show up and play things much differently with so much time to prepare, whereas, they will get to see their opponents go through the first 2 rounds back-to-back before upper finals. Also, could completely restarting have allowed the OCE teams time to come to the US and setup somewhere and be able to compete? Genuinely don't know how all of that stuff works with visas and covid but I hate that those guys had their opportunity taken away from them.
Against restarting: All of the teams that played in the first day were all playing in the exact same conditions as each other so I think the results are valid results. It would have kinda been unfair to 100T to have had to restart since they had already made the upper bracket finals and the tournament had to be put on pause by something that was completely out of their control (on the other side of the bracket even). In my mind, it would've been one thing if it was someone on their team that was the reason the tournament got suspended, but don't see the argument for punishing them for something that was out of their control.
Really interesting, thanks for posting this
I think that's just the problem -- he was ACCUSED of sexual assault. I don't think that it is Riot's place to act like a courtroom and use this as conclusive evidence when no investigation was able to reach the same conclusion. Now, if there is a investigation that finds him guilty, I'm all for a lifetime ban, but until then, it isn't Riot's place. Frankly, I'm a 100T fan, don't really have a dog in this fight. Just don't agree with all of the cancel culture bullshit that's so prevalent today that someone can wake up one day and accuse someone of something and that's that - career over, no investigation needed. fundamentally do not agree with that
The Steel "subsititute" is a contractual term, he is done with 100T (for better or worse, honestly not sure yet), I am still not sure how I feel about the move. I think that the people calling the shots have probably realized how much not having a jett op has hurt them, considering they often struggle against teams that use one (see: Envy, Sentinels, Gambit, Acend). Steel is known for a slow and methodical IGL style which definitely pairs better with a single duelist comp with more support. Letting Nitr0 take over IGL duties will allow them to use a more aggressive playstyle, as well as free up a roster place for someone else to come in and revise the overall team comp (potentially implementing 2 duelist comp on more maps). Eager to see how this all plays out in LCQ because I really do think it could work, but one thing I do know is that this is a very ballsy "all-in" move so close to LCQ
Alright this actually made me laugh
Do we know where the NA LAN is gonna be held for LCQ?
GGWP gambit, 100T beat them, but whew, did not want to play them in a BO5 (I fear it would've been the same result that Envy got). For someone who doesn't watch a ton of non-NA valorant, really enjoyed watching Gambit and other international teams play during Berlin. Looking forward to Champions
You’re not wrong but I still feel like there had to be a way around this, international event btw
You’ve gotta be kidding, all NA teams in one half of bracket
If you're just looking to mess around and try some crazy shit with no care of whether you win or lose, jett is extremely entertaining because of the movement
Yo honestly imagine not having a perfect bracket so far, couldn't be me....

Agreed. I def don't think it's is a gimme, but I feel like they are on the easier half of bracket for sure. Path to Berlin is FaZe and (presumably) XSET, which I think is very do-able. Needing to get through 2/3 of SEN, TSM, and Envy would've been much harder. (I know that may not be 100% accurate bc the seeding would've changed). Hope it works out for them this time. Really want to see them at LAN

Done this more times than I care to admit tbh
People that aren't putting Tenz as #1 gotta just be trolling. No way, the guy is without a doubt the best player NA (the argument is there for the world, too). I think Asuna is def #2 but there is no doubt Tenz is #1
I think that 100T and Sentinels for sure, but the last team will come down to XSET, FaZe and NV. I want TSM to qual but I think XSET/NV is more likely. Version 1 is a dark horse here too, but I think they got lucky to go to Iceland so doubt that they make it to Berlin this time.
