Competitive Ruling - G2 Esports

G2 Esports were invited into the first VCT Stage 1 closed qualifier of the year. In their first match, against Team Vitality Team Vitality Europe Rank #20 trexx Nikita Cherednichenko Kicks Kimmie Laasner runneR Emil Trajkovski ceNder Jokūbas Labutis Sayf Saif Jibraeel , the team's coach Daniil "pipsoN" Mesheryakov was found to be "talking outside the designated Tactical and Technical" pauses.

Further investigation by Riot proved this to be an "isolated instance for celebratory purposes," which didn't result in a competitive advantage. As such, G2 have merely received an official warning and will not be sanctioned.

Competitive Ruling - Movistar Riders

Minutes after, a second competitive ruling was issued surrounding the same rule. During the Stage 1: Challengers 2 open qualifier, Movistar Riders' coach Lucas "LRojo" Rojo was found to be "providing written tactical instructions to Movistar Riders while their match against Rix.GG Thunder Rix.GG Thunder Inactive Mickebwoy Mikołaj Chojnacki memset Laurent Werly LATEKS Oliwer Fahlander frei Aaron Frei Luzuh Joseph Loose was in progress."

As a result of this ruling, Movistar Riders will receive a three-point deduction, equivalent to a one-match loss, in the points tally of the VRL Spain: Rising to which they have been invited.
