After winning Champions in 2024, EDG's 2025 season has been less than smooth. While they made a top three run in Masters Bangkok, internal issues led to the removal of their crucial initiator player S1Mon . Jieni7 was added as replacement, but the titans of CN had lost their grip on the region, and for the first time in the league's existence, EDG failed to claim the regional title. Not only that, but the team failed to even qualify to Masters Toronto, the first time they have ever missed an international event.

It is currently unclear how zjc will fit into the team, but EDG will have the chance to debut with their newest addition in Stage 2 as they look to reach Champions to defend their title.
