A relatively quick 2-0 sent them into the decider round of the Swiss stage, one win away from playoffs.

LOUD completely dominated their map pick, converting Sunset 13-5 in a game that wasn't even as close as the final score suggested. FunPlus Phoenix FunPlus Phoenix China Rank #2 Autumn Kale Dunne Life Qu Donghao (瞿东豪) AAAAY Zhang Yang (张杨) BerLIN Zhang Bolin (張柏霖) Lysoar Liang Youhao (梁优好) ZiXuan Liu Junwei (刘俊伟) finally put up a fight on Breeze, led by a standout 25 kill performance from Autumn , but in the end, LOUD's depth was too much to handle. A 13-11 score sent FPX packing.

Both teams brought unconventional Phoenix compositions to Sunset. FPX compounded their uniqueness by adding in a Harbor and Chamber. Although their comp was serviceable in China, it yielded pitiful results in Madrid.

A pair of clutches against weaker buys kept FPX from getting demolished immediately, but LOUD cleanly accelerated past them. LOUD applied a lot of aggressive defensive pressure around the extremities of the map and still had more useful utility for retakes when needed.

LOUD held an 8-4 lead at the half and easily converted a 13-5 victory on their attack. Without a true sentinel, FPX were completely unable to stop LOUD from taking whatever map control they wanted.

In addition to calling a nearly flawless game, saadhak closed Sunset with the most kills and fewest deaths in the server.

Don't let this man have fun.

Breeze ended up being much more of a contest. LOUD started on the attack, and launched 11 straight hits onto the A site. Unfortunately for the Brazilians, they routinely fell just short of cleanly getting into favorable post-plants. Despite winning just one true full buy round, LOUD managed to wrangle five rounds out of the half.

One man show.

Switched onto their defensive half, LOUD won their fourth straight pistol round and used that momentum to surge back into the lead. Autumn's Yoru found consistent high level value by diving around the map with his teleports. Several huge multikills from the Aussie kept the game competitive until the dying moments of regulation.

It took three straight retakes from LOUD to survive the map 13-11. LOUD found more individual moments across the board in spite of Quick 's 11-20 scoreline with nine first deaths.

After a winless showing in the Swiss stage, FPX have become the first team eliminated from the event. They will have to battle through Stage 1 in China for another chance at their first international VCT win.

LOUD await a random draw for their final match of the Swiss stage. They will face one of EDG, KC, or the winner of PRX vs. TH.
